What came first? The chicken or the egg?

In our case it is the egg! We picked up our fertilized chicken eggs on Friday morning and put them in their incubator as soon as we could. We are all very excited about our project of hatching these little guys. Once they hatch we will raise them for a couple of weeks and then our friend Kim will take them and keep them at her farm.

I will keep everyone posted on our progress. At the end of next week it will be time to candle the eggs and see if anything is happening. We are keeping our fingers crossed that all is well. If even one hatches - I will consider it a success.
