Recored,story and puppet show - oh my

We have been practicing our recorder alot lately. In our book is the poem Who Has Seen the Wind by C.Rosetti set to music and it is rather lovely. The boys have been working on playing together (not an easy task!). We were having so much fun with the poem that we decided to create a story to go along with it. They worked together and came up with this:

One day a little boy went outside to play. He got on his scooter along with his drum and his kite. But when he went out into the park he noticed there was no wind so he asked out loud "who has seen the wind? "

Here is where the boys play the poem set to music while I attempt to sing the poem (humm you will notice in the video that you do not hear me singing - trust me you will thank me for that)

Here is the poem :

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you,
But when the leaves hang trembling,
The wind is passing through.

Who has seen the wind?
Neither I nor you,
But when the trees bow their heads,
The wind is passing by.

Just then the wind heard this song and came passing by the little boy. Suddenly his kite flew into the air and they boy was happy!

A beautiful Butterfly Princess

Now that my little one is 2 and a half she is enjoying having circle time with mama and making crafts. I had a little poem about butterflies we have been saying together and then did a watercolor painting. Oh how does she love to paint! From her painting I cut out this butterfly shape (from one of my nature craft books) and she put the tissue paper on. I put it all together and off she went flying around like a butterfly.
