Has it really been a week?

It has and I can hardly believe it! It has been an entire week since we left CT and arrived in Florida with our things in tow. The night before we left CT stayed with our dear friends the Cosar's and had a wonderful time with their family! Even the doggies had a great time! Kim is an awesome host. Not only did they make us an awesome dinner, but she got up and made coffee and breakfast for us! Thanks guys - we miss you!!!

Well, Ryan ,Adeline and I flew down to FLorida and made it safely. THe first couple days were a tough transition for me. I have a hard time with change - I dont like it and major ones wear me out emotionally. I woke up each morning in tears wondering if we did the right thing or not. I know financially we did what is best for our family, but it was tough. I have since been ok with everything. My parents are wonderful about us being here . They fixed up spots for the boys and for us, even letting make a little Waldorf corner. Sometimes it is tough because, well after all we are different people - but we are able to peacufully coexisist - and I love them , they are my parents!

This week has been our vacation week . We went out on the boat my dad just bought and had a great time.

After the beach we went to a resturant called the Mellow Mushroom and the had a hollowed out phsycadelic bus with booths set up and we were lucky to get the one near the steering wheel . RYan spent the whole dinner driving the bus .

Steph you would like this place - they had tempheh sandwiches : ) I have been making it at home and it is yummy!

Well - we miss everyone in CT! But are doing are best to move forward. Sage starts school next week and Ryan will go to the Waldorf school for a few enrichment classes. Tomorrow we are going to the waldorf school to help clean up and get to know everyone. Have a great weekend!

Good Friends Together One Last TIme!

I have not mentioned much in my posts about moving. It has been too sad and I have been in denial. Well we now have 4 days left here in this beautiful state, 4 days left to visit with with friends - to say our good byes.

Why are we moving?Life - the economy ! My husband is still looking for work. He has had many leads the recent of which he went out to Pittsburg for an interview and he has one coming up in Augusta Georgia. It is not for the lack of him trying - oh how hard he works to look for jobs, prepare for interviews and traveling to them. I am proud of him for not giving up hope , because he is talented and a job will come soon - I know it!!!!

Connecticut has been a wonderful place to live! The mountains, the farms,, the seasons and most importantly the friends :

We have been so blessed to find such wonderful friends. Not only do the mommies all get along, the kids adore each other. These kids were all able to play together for 6 hours without a single argument! How rare to find such a great mix of kids. We will miss each and everyone and I know that we will see them again - soon I hope!!!

Such wonderful,amazing, supportive friends! The things I do , I could not without their support. When the homeschooling got rough with Ryan, they were there! When I had my first homebirth, they were there! when I had playgroup/handwork at the house, they came - some even an hour away, some not even Waldorf, they still came! I have learned so much from them.

I have spent the last few weeks in emotional turmoil! Some days in denial others just in tears all day! Kim began to judge what kind of day I was having on whether or not I stopped for a donut! Something I eat maybe once a year! After having all these wonderful ladies around me gave me peace and strength to forge ahead knowing that they will always be there to support me - even if it is not in person.

I am at peace now - thank you my wonderful friends! I truly feel blessed!

knitting info

I had intended to give more information about the knitted shirt I made for Adeline in my previous post, but with limited time , I ended up just posting the pictures. I have been asked where I got the pattern so here it is : )

I found the pattern on Etsy (here). The pattern is actually a dress, but I made it into a shirt because I did not have enough yarn to finish it as a dress. There is also a crochet border which is very pretty, but I need someone to show me how to do that part. I want to learn that soon!
