Nature class in the pouring down rain!

Yesterday it poured down rain during our Nature Class - but that did not stop us from taking an hour and half hike!!! Justin from Two Coyote's is great with the kids and had them play a few games. The first game they played was capture the tail. He attached bandannas to each kid and they had to run around and catch as many tails as they could. The second game he tied a bandanna into many knots to become a frog. One child was the Heron guarding the frog and all the other children were raccoons. They had to get the frog from the Heron without being tagged. The last game the played was kinda like the old game red light -green light. Justin pretended to be a deer eating grass in the woods and all the kids were cougars. When he had his head down they could walk toward him, with his head up they had to freeze and if he saw them moving they had to go back to the beginning. Lots of fun!!!

They also tasted some various bark that Justin pointed out.
This was Ryan's fairy house he made from the very first day of nature class 3 weeks ago. It is still there! Looks like the fairies might get a bit wet but I am sure they appreciate the gesture : )

We made it back safe and sound. I only had trouble at the end when we had to climb some steep steps to get out of the woods and my growing belly kept getting in the way.
