The second experiment was to blow up 2 ballons the same size one with helium and one with air. Then measure them, bring them home and measure them again the next day to see which one becomes smaller faster. Helium won that one. Ryan was able to see right away the next day that the helium balloon was on the ground and much smaller than the air filled one.

Monday Science club
Monday was such a beautiful day that Ryan and I headed to the beach for a picnic before our science club near by. We went to Silver Sands beach and was able to see what it looked like at high tide. Last time we were there it was low tide and you could almost walk all the way out to that Island on a land bridge. We did not have to much time so we sat on the rocks and ate. Ryan decided to test his agility and run the length of the rocks! I tried not too watch - yikes.



After we ate of course the seagulls bombarded us. It took me about 10 tries but I finally got a pic of one flying over our head.
Then we headed down the road to science at our friends house. They learned about the atom helium. Made a made of it and did some experiments. They started off painting their nuetrons,electrons and protons.

Then outside to blow up some balloons. THe first experiement they blew up a balloon with helium and then held a bubble wand in front of it. The helium from the balloon blew up the bubbles with helium and they floated away high in the sky, where the regular bubbles floated to the ground - cool.
