Harvesting the Cherries!!

Today we picked most of the cherries off the cherry tree today! We had been wondering how we would reach those cherries so far up without the proper ladder or picking tools. Today, however Adeline and I were determined to get those cherries!! She had the idea to use a bamboo stick and I had the idea to tape a fork to the end of it to pluck the cherries down - success!!!

Football and Pony Rides

In our new little town of Snoqualmie the High school had a little Footballalooza (spelling of that?) to get the community to come out and support the team. We went cause !. Sage loves football, Ryan loves the bouncy houses and Adeline loves ponies - plus we did want to support our new community. : ) Esp since Sage will be a student at Mt Si taking virtual classes and dual enrollment at the community college.

 They even let her lead the mini horse Tex around for a walk : ) They give lessons to kids as young as 3 as long as they can sit in the saddle - hummm.....

Morning Snack Time by the River

 This morning Ryan spotted a deer right outside our side door so close to the house! It was very cool and we followed him a ways down our yard till he disappeared.


This morning we decided to make our first batch of muffins in the new house. Spelt flour banana muffins sweetened with stevia and maple syrup - yumm! Of course who could resist them in little men shapes : )

 We loaded up our wagon with our goodies and headed down to the river.

 We have a few of these beautiful trees growing by the side of the river - I forget what the are called though : ( anyone know  ?

 Can I tell you how cool it is to walk on your own property and come to this amazing view! Snack time by the river!!

Getting Settled in Snoqualmie Wa

 Adeline and I arrived in Washington State Saturday afternoon and were greeted with warm hugs all around! The new house is amazing (I will post about it soon). So far these past few days have been beautiful out here it almost feels as if we are on vacation. Adeline is loving the hot tub!!
So do I when it is heated up. Since it is wood burning - it does take awhile


We have a bunny that shows up every morning and every evening and does not seem to be afraid of us. He/she sure is cute!

On Sunday we went down to a small park on the river near our house and it was so peaceful. Adeline took this picture of me : )

 Today we went to the Snoqualmie Falls and it is beautiful!!

Cousins

This week Adeline got to enjoying playin wth her cousins just about everyday. She loved it!! Iknow she will miss them alot when we are in WA. so I am so glad we had this time this week.!

Ryan's Playground - Marineland Beach

 This past week we took Sage to his Teen summer camp at Marineland Dolphin center. (Pictures of his camp coming soon! ) The first morning after dropping him off, Ryan and I went for a walk on the beach. It was nice to spend time with just him (Adeline was with my mom). It was a beautiful morning and he loved climbing on the rocks and running around - the perfect playground for him!
It was so nice to hear him say how much fun he had hanging out with me and that he loved our beach walk!!!

 I was even inspired by the calmness and beauty to do a little yoga on the rocks!

 THen Ryan had his turn for some yoga. Of course he had to show me up and use a rock out in the water : )

 Then he found this little cliff and jumped off into the water many times!!

 A very beautiful , fun morning !!

Smoky Mountains Day 1

Last night we arrved at the Great Somky Mountains! Ithas been rainy but still beautiful. I am so blessed to be able to be here and enjoy how amazing it is.

Today was our first full day here and we started it by relaxing :

We drove around the Cades cove loop and saw a few deer as well as the old pioneer homes. It is amazing that these folks came out here and made a life in these mountains. I have some pitures of these cabins but they are on my camera and I forgot my camera cord : (

 After that we went to a local cavern. I have been wanting to take the boys to a cave for sometime now and this was very cool!

 We were even allowed to taste the fresh spring water flowing throught the cavern

Amazing!!
