Seattle Sunday's - Wooden boats

We have declared Sundays as "Seattle Sunday's" ! Since we are already so close in Bellevue at the UU church for the 11 o'clock service we thought it would be fun to pack a lunch and head into Seattle afterwards.


Yesterday Tony and Sage found this Center for Wooden Boats on Lake Union. On Sunday's they offer free boat rides on one of their wooden boats. It is pretty popular so you have to get there early to sign up. So Tony  dropped us off at the UU and then went over to sign us up for the 2 o'clock boat ride. One thing I am learning about being out here in WA - when it is dreary, rainy and gray, people still get out and do things. I was surprised that on a cold day we weren't the only nutty families going out on a boat ride : )

Perhaps we will be able to get on The Puffin next time. A wood stove powered wooden boat. The captain is 15 years old!
