Summer Solstice

We had our first summer solstice celebration! We made solstice bread,obviously in the shape of a sun, spent the day at the beach and then left presents for the fairies and gnomes who will dancing by moonlight. Our plans were to camp out and have a fire, but the rain prevented us from doing that - hopefully this weekend.

In the morning Ryan wanted to run downstairs to see of the fairies and gnomes left him a solstice present. Of course they did. Ryan received a prism and Sage received an Amythyst stone.

For our 1st solsitce celebration, it was nice. Next year, I would like to find a good verse and songs to sing!

Bessy - Rocky Island

On Mother's day, I took the boys for a short hike. We found this little Island and they named it "Bessy-Rocky Island" It was a nice morning!

Butterfly's

This is a picture of Ryan's butterfly Bessy. We sent away for catepillers and watched them turn into butterflies. After a week it was time for the great release. However, Ryan was very upset by that idea so we agreed to keep 2. Bessy just stayed on Ryan's hand and did not try to fly away so we decided to keep her. Cindy had a broken wing and could not fly. Ryan took great care of his butterflies, even letting Bessy sit on his shoulder around the house. We can't wait to do it again next year.

The Largest Tree in CT

Sage had a lacrosse game out in Simsbury so we took advantage of the beautiful day and brought a picnic lunch to eat under the largest tree in CT.

Rainbow Fairy

Ryan asked for a custom rainbow fairy and here she is.

We have enjoyed watching her hanging on our window in the playroom.
