Today we stopped by the Fish Hatchery after Ryan's guitar lesson and were amazed at the amount of salmon that were swimming in the river!!! I have always heard of them swimming up stream and have even seen a few on nature shows, but how amazing it is to see it in person. They were so big and amazing.
We are also reading the story of the Salmon Prince as told by the Salish Native Americans here is Washington in honor of the salmon returning. For the month of October there are many salmon activites and areas to go down to the river and watch them - it should be an exciting month : )

Yes! There are certain areas and limits but yes, we can fish for salmon - yumm

Amazing to be able to see something this spectacular in the wild. Nature is pretty awesome, and she puts on a good display:)
